Sleep talking is medically called somniloquy. It is basically a type of abnormal behavior or parasomnia which occurs when an individual sleeps. This condition can occur all alone or along with some other sleep disorder.

Sleep terrors and RBD result in people shouting during their sleep. The people, who suffer from RBD, act out their dreams quite violently. Sleep terrors also involve kicking, thrashing and screaming.
