Food is also what causes sleep deprivation. The excessive intake of refined sugars and processed foods can have an individual suffering from the lack of sleep. Foods high in fat and junk foods are the main cause of sleep deprivation in many people.


Another major cause for sleep deprivation is traveling to place with different time zone. Traveling to different places with varied time zones can also be the cause of sleep deprivation. However, this is a temporary cause which subsides with time.
